How KEC is installed?
Installation must be done by a license electrician. To do
otherwise voids the warranty. The KEC is attached to the top 220/240 volt breaker/200amp service.
By
installing the KEC in this location, you are hitting both sides of
the bus bar in your panel insuring amperage surge protection.

 Opening panel |

Setting up
|
|
1. Hang KEC unit on wall
|
 Opening service disconnect cover
|
 Service disconnect panel removed
|
|
| 2. Take panel cover off and drill a 7/8 inch hole in corner. |
 Meter "before" reading
|
 Insert wire protector in bottom of panel |
|

 Thread wires from unit through hole |
 Threading wires

 Start nut on cable protector
|

 Situate knar unit
|
 Fastening cable protector
|
|
| |
 Screw knar unit to wall
|
 Strip wire ends
|

3. Turn off top 220/240 breaker
|
 Fasten ground lead
|
 Fasten two hot leads to 40-amp breaker
|
|
4. Connect the green wire to grounding bar.
|
 Hot leads installed
|
 Disconnect cover back on |
|
5. Loosen two screws under breaker.
|
|
|
|
6. Slip the two red wires under the two screws and tighten.
|
 Turn breaker to the knar unit on |
 It's on |

| 7. Turn breaker back on and replace cover. |
|
|

| 8. Light should be lit. |
